About The Position

This internship role focuses on enhancing cybersecurity across Emerson’s product portfolio by collaborating with the Product Security team. Interns will assist in developing and implementing secure coding practices, supporting regulatory compliance efforts, and participating in agile development processes for secure software/firmware. The role involves communicating findings, thinking empathetically to understand needs, learning cybersecurity principles in a real-world product environment, and contributing to a team-oriented, collaborative culture.

Requirements

Pursuing Bachelors in engineering
Zero (0) years of applicable experience
Legal authorization to work in the United States
Ability to work full-time (40 hours) per week in-person

Nice To Haves

GPA of 3.0 or above
Prior internship experience
An ABET-accredited engineering degree in Computer, Electrical, or Software Engineering or Computer Science is preferred.
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Understanding of basic security concepts such as encryption, secure software development, and regulatory compliance
Student-level proficiency in a programming/scripting language such as C/C++, Python, PowerShell, etc.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with the Product Security team to enhance cybersecurity across Emerson’s product portfolio.
