About The Position

This role is 5 days a week in the Downtown Atlanta office. Responsible for data scanning classification/ tagging DSCT as part of the overall data protection department at Truist. Manage tools that actively scan unstructured and structured data across the environment both application data. Data that teammates may create/ interact with/ apply the Truist data risk classification taxonomy to that data in alignment within the FDIC standards. You will focus on assisting in getting the new platforms to get their role groups in place for the new application and installing the application on those new servers and configuring it. You will start onboarding various data assets in the environment, while continuing the execution of our scanning classification controls, weekly operational routines and keeping in line with rating requirements. Assist in the designing, planning, testing and implementation phases of cybersecurity technology projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and five years of experience in systems engineering or administration or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • In-depth knowledge in applied enterprise information security technologies including but not limited to firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, network operating systems, identity management, database activity monitoring, encryption, content filtering, and Mainframe security.
  • Previous experience in planning and managing IT projects

  • Bachelor’s degree and six years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Banking or financial services experience
  • Knowledge of and experience with containerized applications and base operating systems (OS)
  • Scripting and automation experience (i.e., Python, JavaScript, Terraform)

Responsibilities

  • Deploy and implement scanning tools to identify vulnerabilities
  • Analyze vulnerabilities and assist development teams to understand and address vulnerability remediation
  • Write scripts (Python, JavaScript, Terraform, etc.) to assist in automation of business requirements
  • Develop and maintain the technical IT/cyber capabilities including all phases of the software development lifecycle and software stack
  • Participate in efforts related to designing, planning, enhancing, and testing all cybersecurity technologies used throughout the enterprise including base-lining current systems, trend analysis, and capacity planning as required for future systems requirements and new technologies.
  • Participate in the analysis of information to determine, recommend, and plan the use of new technologies, or modifications to existing equipment and systems that will provide capability for proposed project or workload, efficient operation and effective use of allotted resources.
  • Participate in the implementation of new information security technologies or integration of existing technologies including initial configuration, installation, change management, and operational handoff.
  • Take a new perspective on existing solutions to solve complex problems and exercise judgment based on the analysis (e.g. modeling, testing, etc.) of multiple sources of information.
  • Lead small cybersecurity projects with manageable risks and resource requirements; plays significant roles in larger, more complex initiatives.
