About The Position

The qualified Cybersecurity Engineer is a Tier 1 Desktop Support position that requires strong communication and customer service skills with a professional appearance and attitude. As a Cybersecurity Engineer, you will work directly with the Chief Security Officer to deter, monitor, analyze, investigate and respond to cyber security threats and network intrusions. A strong background in security technology and proficiency with Windows Operating Systems are required. The candidate must have strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as technical problem-solving skills. Some light programming, Microsoft Office, anti-virus, and network security experience or education are preferred. A major requirement for all ATG technicians is to provide outstanding value to all customer engagements, cost-effectively and efficiently implementing new technology and maintaining existing systems. This includes remaining vigilant for opportunities to improve the customer's environment by recommending products and services that will enhance their productivity and profitability.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Certificate from college or technical school or 2 years equivalent related work experience.
Ability to complete reports for customers and company required documents.
Must be able to follow and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Submit to and pass background and drug test per Company policy.
CompTIA Security + certification must be up-to-date or obtained within six months after hire date.
Friendly presence and helpful attitude; good interpersonal skills and ability to work well with others.
Ability to provide technical support over the phone; good phone skills, professional demeanor, previous customer service experience strongly desired.
Good problem-solving skills; ability to visualize a problem or situation and think abstractly to solve it.
Ability to handle constantly changing flow of traffic; remain productive during slow times, be able to multitask effectively during busy times, exercise patience and professionalism during stressful situations.
Ability to work responsibly with or without direct supervision.
Working knowledge of common operating systems and software applications.
Adequate familiarity with equipment found in ATG client locations.
Applicants must also have valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance.

CompTIA A+
Some light programming, Microsoft Office, anti-virus, and network security experience or education are preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintain and create standard operating procedures to further secure client and internal data and empower staff with security education.
Participate in a lead capacity for incident response, threat intelligence, and forensic functions.
Research and understand emerging information threats, vulnerabilities, and countermeasures.
Perform information security control reviews and security audits with clients over various industries.
Provide compliance, risk, and controls expertise to support information security and compliance initiatives.
Perform SOC operations to include monitoring, reporting, and response to malicious activity.
Manage and prioritize multiple clients and projects.
Perform security assessments including penetration testing, vulnerability analysis, and review of firewall settings.
Consult with key stakeholders regarding information system vulnerabilities and how to remediate them in an understandable and educational format.
Assist and train other staff on security threats and audit techniques.
Follow standard OpsCenter operating procedures; accurately log all activity using online tracking system.
Enforce all ATG IT policies.
Become familiar with available help resources; stay updated on client technology changes or problems.
