About The Position

The Cybersecurity Engineer role offers an opportunity to leverage experience in systems and network security engineering to safeguard national resources. The engineer will identify tools for vulnerability assessment, recommend solutions, and develop security strategies. Responsibilities include troubleshooting complex challenges for customers using knowledge of network and security devices, applications, and tools. The role involves researching and developing security solutions based on technology and market trends, assessing security threats, and implementing infrastructure controls to secure and protect client's mission-critical infrastructure and support national security initiatives.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience with cybersecurity engineering in a professional work environment
  • Experience planning, implementing, upgrading, or monitoring cybersecurity measures to improve cyber defense and maintain a cyber-resilient network
  • Experience assessing cybersecurity vulnerabilities for risks and proposing and implementing remediation actions or risk mitigation strategies
  • Ability to ensure appropriate security controls are in place that will safeguard digital files and electronic infrastructure
  • Ability to respond to computer security breaches to re-establish protections and make required reports
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering, or Mathematics
  • Information Assurance Management (IAM), Information Assurance Technical (IAT), or Information Assurance System Architect and Engineer (IASAE) DoD 8570.1M Level I certification such as Security+

Responsibilities

  • Develop relationships with other teams and communicate security complexities to various audiences, including senior management.
  • Implement infrastructure and cybersecurity controls, including enhanced detection and vulnerability capabilities and improved event correlation in large enterprises.
  • Perform risk and vulnerability assessments in network, system, and application areas.
  • Leverage big data analytics and traditional security event types to identify advanced threats or indicators of compromise.
