About The Position

Support federal cybersecurity compliance by developing, updating, and maintaining security documentation required to achieve and sustain system authorization. Work closely with ISSOs, engineers, and program leadership to prepare Assessment and Authorization (A&A) packages, assess security controls, manage POA&Ms, and support continuous monitoring across cloud, hybrid, and on‑premise environments. Work with stakeholders to develop, evaluate, document, and implement cybersecurity policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs) or regulations to meet NIST and federal governmental requirements. Apply functional knowledge of documentation standards, including working and general industry knowledge in support of cybersecurity programs. Work independently with some guidance. Review or guide activities of more junior employees.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience with cybersecurity policies and communication standards for various types of security and programmatic documentation
  • 2+ years of experience with conducting quality assurance assessments in support of a cybersecurity program
  • Ability to work effectively with both technical teams and senior stakeholders
  • Ability to coordinate and co-author with Senior leaders and technical teams to address cybersecurity risks and compliance requirements through formal documentation
  • Ability to create templates and maintain security documentation for cloud, hybrid and on-premises environments
  • HS diploma or GED

  • Experience with developing and delivering standard operating procedures and risk management documentation
  • Experience with federal agencies in support of cybersecurity programs
  • Knowledge of NIST standards and how to develop and manage Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms)
