Implement and maintain security controls
Monitor security tools (SIEM, EDR, vulnerability scanners)
Respond to alerts/incidents

Ensure compliance with standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2, CMMC, or similar frameworks
Develop, maintain, and enforce IT security policies, procedures, and documentation
Support internal and external audits
Evidence collection
Remediation tracking
Perform third-party risk assessments
Vendor security reviews
Maintain risk register
Track mitigation activities
Security Awareness & Training
Promote a culture of security through awareness training and best practices
Educate employees on cybersecurity risks

Recommend and implement continuous improvements to the organization’s security posture

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain security controls to protect systems, networks, and data
Monitor security tools (SIEM, EDR, vulnerability scanners) and respond to alerts/incidents
Conduct vulnerability assessments, risk analyses, and remediation planning
Manage endpoint and network security, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and access controls
Lead incident response efforts and support post-incident analysis and reporting
Ensure compliance with standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2, CMMC, or similar frameworks
