We are seeking a Cybersecurity Cloud Automation Engineer to focus on Cyber Security Operations development, specifically in Threat Hunt Analytics, Malicious Detections, and Workbook development. In this role, you will be responsible for building and setting up new development tools and infrastructure, utilizing your expertise in continuous integration, delivery, and deployment (CI/CD), Cloud technologies, Container Orchestration, and Security. Your work will involve building and testing end-to-end CI/CD pipelines to ensure systems are protected against security threats. This is a fully onsite position located in Lorton, VA.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of IT Administration, Engineering, or Automation experience (including 3+ years of Cloud experience)
  • 1+ year experience with programming languages or PowerShell
  • 1+ year experience with manually or programmatically accessing REST API endpoints
  • Satisfaction of 8570 IAT II requirements (typically CompTIA Security+)
  • Must have an active TS/SCI security clearance
  • Must have a valid US passport

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • Azure experience
  • Working knowledge of multiple SIEMs including Splunk and Microsoft Sentinel/Log Analytics
  • Leadership experience in relevant technical areas
  • Technical Certifications, such as: Microsoft AZ-104, AZ-204, AZ-305, AZ-500, AZ-600 or AZ-700

Responsibilities

  • Develop and assist with Azure resource deployments using IaC and CaC
  • Developing, deploying and using Threat Hunt Analytics, Malicious Detection, Workbooks and other Incident Response tools
  • Assist with automated deployments of mission-critical security software and applications
  • Assist with the development of data ingestion and visualization solutions
  • Engage with customers for requirements gathering and solution development activities
  • Improve processes across the enterprise by introducing automation and industry best practices
  • Documentation of lessons learned and best practices
