The Department of Privacy and Cybersecurity in the College of Information Sciences and Technology (IST) at The Pennsylvania State University invites applications for two tenure-line faculty positions in Cybersecurity and Privacy located in State College, Pennsylvania. The appointments are at the assistant or associate professor rank and begin in January of 2027 at the University Park campus. We seek outstanding scholars with expertise in one or more of the following areas: the intersection of artificial intelligence (AI), security, and privacy; organizational, behavioral, and/or human factors in cybersecurity and privacy; digital forensics and/or cyber investigations; systems and software security; cryptography; quantum computing and post-quantum security; or other emerging areas in cybersecurity, privacy, and/or trustworthy computing. We particularly welcome applicants whose research demonstrates interdisciplinary collaboration and addresses significant societal, governmental, or industrial challenges.
