About The Position

Optum’s Enterprise Information Security team works to improve security across the enterprise and protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of UnitedHealth Group’s information assets. The Cybersecurity Fraud Analyst conducts in-depth analysis and correlation of data points to support proactive call center detection and prevention and investigate risks to UHG. The role may be performed remotely from anywhere within the U.S., subject to UnitedHealth Group’s Telecommuter Policy.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of experience interpreting and analyzing data to uncover potential cyber threats.
• At least 1 year of experience with cybersecurity principles, technologies, and tools.
• At least 1 year of experience meticulously monitoring systems and analyzing data.
• At least 1 year of experience handling sensitive information ethically and responsibly.
• At least 1 year of experience demonstrating agility and responsiveness in the face of evolving cyber threats.

• Demonstrated ability to tackle and resolve intricate issues efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Review security logs and indicators to identify, analyze, document, and report risky, policy-inconsistent, or suspicious actions and behaviors.
• Correlate data from multiple sources to identify anomalous behavior using critical thinking.
• Provide clear, detailed alerts to relevant parties to help address perceived risks and drive corrective actions and resolution.
• Use prior notifications, policy changes, changes in security logs, and lessons learned to continually refine assessments of risky behavior.
• Translate business risks into threat-monitoring use cases for alerting, including assessing data sources for ingestion into monitoring tools.
• Collaborate with partner teams on investigations, provide technical expertise as needed, and communicate risks to the business.
• Mentor and train other analysts in investigative techniques and analytical and technical skills.
• Assist with sophisticated cybersecurity incidents and investigations, and maintain chain of custody when needed to support legal requirements.
• Use enterprise-approved AI tools to streamline workflows, automate tasks, and drive continuous improvement.
