About The Position

ARES is seeking an experienced senior cybersecurity analyst to support its security control assessment, vulnerability assessment, software assurance, and risk assessment teams for the Nation’s ballistic missile defense program. The role involves research, analysis, and data gathering while conducting threat, vulnerability, and capability maturity assessments. The analyst will apply critical thinking, conduct gap analyses, and develop implementation plans to improve cybersecurity in large, complex defense systems. This is an onsite position at Schriever AFB in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and requires an active DoD clearance.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Senior cybersecurity certification: CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP, GCED, or GCIH.
Active DoD clearance.
Proficiency in technical services and analysis, with knowledge of cybersecurity standards, principles, practices, and processes.
Experience supporting vulnerability assessments, control development, security plan documentation, penetration testing, and the Risk Management Framework (RMF).
Familiarity with cybersecurity tools such as Nessus, Burp Suite, Nmap, and ACAS.

Responsibilities

Support vulnerability assessments, control development, security plan documentation, penetration testing, and the Risk Management Framework (RMF).
