V2X is seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst II to join our AFCENT NOSC IT team. The candidate should have mid-level experience in analyzing intrusion detection systems (IDS), conducting vulnerability assessments, and developing methods to detect and prevent network intrusion. This position is contingent upon successful contract award to V2X.

Requirements

  • Associates in related field and 3 or more years’ relevant IT experience or 5 or more years’ relevant IT experience.
  • CompTIA Network+ or Cisco CCNA
  • ITIL Foundation (candidate has up to 60 days to acquire ITIL Foundation certification)
  • Firewall experience
  • Must possess experience and demonstrate an understanding with installation of Microsoft Windows Server in Host and Compute Environments, and Windows Server using server images.
  • Experience with implementation of storage solutions, high availability, Domain Name Systems (DNS), Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), network connectivity and remote access solutions, core and distributed network solutions, advance network infrastructure, and maintain and monitor server environments.
  • Secret clearance
  • Ability to define baseline security requirements in accordance with applicable guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze network intrusion detection systems and conduct vulnerability assessments.
  • Develop methods to detect and prevent intrusive activities utilizing knowledge. Assist in developing countermeasures to isolate, contain and prevent intrusive actives and secure.
  • Install, configure, maintain, and manage security devices to include IDS/IPS, ESS/HBSS, and forensic tools.
  • Assist in development and documentation of sensor process and checklists.
  • Analyze network firewall and computer network server (DNS, proxy, domain controller, file server, Active Directory) logs.
  • Develop methods to identify contain, log, and analyze intrusive activities and security vulnerabilities on networks.
  • Conduct network security monitoring and intrusion detection analysis using selected security tools to IDS/IPS, firewall, proxy, router, Fidelis, Trellix, and LogRhythm logs.
  • Write and develop custom scripts as needed to perform tasks related to all Cybersecurity toolset.
  • Provide General IT Management support.
  • Provide General Networking support.
  • Provide LAN support.
  • Provide WAN Enterprise support.
  • Provide technical general O&M support as required.
  • Provide documentation/reports support as required.
  • Provide meetings/briefings support as required.
  • Provide functional training support as required.
  • Provide OCONUS deployment/TDY travel support as required.
  • Provide CONUS TDY support as required.
