About The Position

We are hiring a Cyber Systems Engineer who will provide technical expertise to the Army’s Project Management Office (PMO), Aircraft Survivability Equipment (ASE), in Huntsville, AL. The role involves assisting and advising product offices on DoD RMF continuous monitoring requirements, determining security requirements by evaluating business strategies and requirements, researching information security standards, and conducting system security and vulnerability analyses and risk assessments. The engineer will also study architecture/platforms, assist PM ASE SMEs in identifying integration issues and preparing cost estimates, and create/complete documentation and artifacts for continuous monitoring. Responsibilities include the creation and maintenance of eMASS packages, verification of security systems using DoD approved technologies (STIG/ACAS/Static Code Analysis), and maintaining security by monitoring compliance, conducting incident response analyses, and developing/conducting table-top exercises. The role also entails reviewing DoD cyber architectures, systems, or system components for use within computing, network, and enclave environments, ensuring that the architecture and design of development and operational systems are functional and secure, including designs for program of record systems and special purpose processing nodes with platform IT interconnectivity.

Requirements

  • AS/AA and 4 years of experience, BS/BA and 2 years of experience, or 6 years of applicable experience
  • Fluent in the Microsoft Office toolset
  • Active Secret clearance required
  • Able to work onsite from the customer facility on a regular basis
  • Experience with Army Risk Management Framework
  • Familiarity with National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Guidelines

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIGS)
  • Experience with Assured Compliance and Assessment Solution (ACAS)
  • Experience with Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS)
  • Experience in reverse engineering and the intelligence community

Responsibilities
