About The Position

Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking a full-time Early Career Cyber System Security Engineer. In this role, you will ensure that cyber security requirements are properly defined, decomposed, allocated, implemented, and assessed to produce a cyber-resilient security design solution for the target platform. This includes participating in working groups, design reviews, and formal artifact reviews alongside other Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and providing security expertise to ensure cyber security is considered early in the product development lifecycle. The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of software development, a basic understanding of secure coding principles, cyber risk analysis, and security assessment methods. Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Requirements

  • B.S. Degree in Cybersecurity, Cyber Security Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Security, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or Systems Engineering
  • Basic knowledge of cyber risk analysis and security assessment methods
  • Experience in software development and programing
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a dynamic work environment
  • Final Secret Clearance to start with the ability to obtain program’s clearance
  • Must be a US Citizen

Nice To Haves

  • Proficient with embedded software development (C, C++, C#, etc.)
  • Basic knowledge of Risk Management Framework
  • Familiar with secure coding principles
  • Familiar with vulnerability assessments
  • Proactive self-starter with the ability to learn rapidly and work independently
  • Familiar with full software development life cycle, and system engineering process
  • DoD Directive 8570.1 IAT Level II or higher certification (Security+ certification or higher)
  • Ability to travel as required
