About The Position

Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking a full-time Early Career Cyber Systems Security Engineer. In this role, you will design and develop cybersecurity solutions that span the entire system lifecycle, from initial planning to final validation. You will conduct risk assessments, including threat modeling and vulnerability analysis, to evaluate and address potential security gaps. Collaborate with engineers and system architects to analyze and resolve cybersecurity trade-offs and system design constraints. Perform cybersecurity testing to validate that hardware and software designs meet security requirements. Employ proven cybersecurity methodologies, processes, and tools, ensuring consistent application across projects. Support assessment and authorization activities to ensure compliance with required cybersecurity standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited university in Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Security Clearance at the Secret level.
  • Must possess (or be able to obtain within six months of employment start date) a DoD 8570.01-M certification Security+ or higher (IAT Level II Certification)
  • Coding experience (e.g. C++,Python, Bash, PowerShell)
  • Network architecture design and configuration (e.g. Cisco, Palo Alto).
  • Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance.
  • This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

  • NIST 800.53 Experience and Knowledge
  • Security tooling experience (e.g. Splunk/Trellix/Nessus)
  • Experience with windows server administration (e.g. Active Directory, Group Policy)
  • Experience with Hypervisors (e.g. Hyper-V)
  • Linux Experience and Knowledge
