About The Position

Peraton is seeking a Senior Cyber Software Engineer to support our Atlantis Program contract at the Naval Information Warfare Center Pacific (NIWC PAC) facility in San Diego, CA. As the Subcontractor on the Atlantis task order, Peraton is responsible for supporting a Multi-level Security (MLS) Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence (C4I) system providing situational tracking and management capabilities, full message processing tools, and a variety of analysis utilities, along with office, e-mail, chat, and web browsing applications. As a Cyber Software Engineer, you will support tasks to continue current operations, support the planned growth as determined by life cycle support, maintenance and sustainment, system administration support, upgrade and logistics support of the ATLANTIS system, networked and deployed globally in support of U.S. Sponsors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in STEM related field
  • Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 6 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 3 years with PhD
  • Basic experience with system installation/configuration and/or basic programming skills
  • Minimum TOP SECRET Clearance and must be able to obtain SSBI and SCI access.
  • US Citizenship is required.
  • Proficient in Linux Operating systems and shell scripting
  • Strong Programming skills in C/C++, Golang, Python, and JAVA
  • Experience with Software development tools and practices (e.g., Gitlab, CI/CD)

Responsibilities

  • Software Development, design, develop, test, and maintain high quality software solutions using C/C++. Golang, Python, and Java
  • System Design, architect scalable and efficient software systems that meet business and technical requirements, including microservices architecture.
  • Linux Experience; utilizing advance Linux skills for software development, system administration, and performing tuning.
  • Code Review and Mentorship; conduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and mentor junior engineers to foster continuous improvement.
  • Collaboration; work closely with cross functional teams including product management, QA, and operations to deliver high quality products.
  • Problem Solving; Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex software issues in a timely manner.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain detailed technical documentation for software systems and processes.
  • Innovation; Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends and apply knowledge to improve existing systems and processes.
  • Utilize knowledge of PCoIP to develop and optimize relevant software solutions.
