About The Position

The Cyber Systems Engineer role involves designing and building secure systems for clients, addressing advanced cyber threats. The engineer will provide cybersecurity engineering services, coordinate with teams to identify optimal tools and techniques, and translate client needs into secure and effective solutions. This position requires investigating new techniques, moving beyond legacy models, and staying current with industry trends. The engineer will lead system design, offer alternatives, customize solutions, and balance security with mission needs. Responsibilities include applying systems engineering expertise to requirements analysis, architecture design, technology assessment, and metrics development. Operational support, including tool testing and issue resolution with vendors, is also part of the role. The engineer will develop and apply advanced methods for complex project requirements and technical specifications, and direct full lifecycle projects for technical solution programs. This role offers an opportunity to make a significant impact on the security of the Intelligence Community (IC) by integrating secure practices and broadening skillsets while solving unique challenges.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience providing systems engineering or management for technical projects in cyber operations
  • Experience managing complex technical projects from concept to delivery, including assisting with the development or management of project plans, schedules, budgets, and risks
  • Experience collaborating with stakeholders to define project goals, objectives, and technical requirements
  • Experience testing and evaluating capabilities, tools, and networks
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders to transition projects into an operational environment
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple competing priorities
  • Knowledge of computer networking, operating systems, and the software development lifecycle
  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience with cloud-based infrastructure and containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes

  • Provide operational support, including tool testing in an operational environment and coordinating and resolving issues with vendors and other appropriate personnel.
  • Develop and apply advanced methods, theories, and research techniques to the investigation and resolution of complex project requirements and technical specifications for software development projects.
  • Plan and direct full life cycle projects or major phases of projects for highly visible technical solution programs.
  • Integrate secure practices to help customers overcome difficult challenges.
  • Broaden skillsets while helping customers overcome difficult and unique challenges.
