About The Position

The Cybersecurity Specialist position's purpose is to protect the organization’s digital assets, networks, and data from cyberattacks, theft, or damage. This role involves planning, designing, and implementing processes and procedures for compliance with NIST, CMMC, and corporate security policies. The position is located onsite in either Plano, Texas or Neptune, New Jersey. This role may require access to technical data or technology governed by U.S. export control laws, including ITAR. Candidates must be eligible to access such information.

Requirements

One to three years of related experience (or equivalent combination of education, training and experience).
Associate’s Degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Intermediate skills in navigating and using internet/intranet and other programs such as the MS Office package including Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Access, or Company-wide cross functional Enterprise Resource Planning software.
Must also be able to perform limited troubleshooting.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Candidates must be eligible to access technical data or technology governed by U.S. export control laws, including ITAR.

Responsibilities

Develops policies, plans, and procedures for compliance with NIST 800-171 and CMMC 2.0.
Trains users and promotes security awareness.
Provides updates and reports to management and executive staff.
Makes recommendations for solutions, including hardware and software programs that can help mitigate risk.
Updates and tests disaster recovery procedures.
Plans and implements security measures, in coordination with the IT Department, to protect computer systems, networks, and data from loss and service interruptions.
Analyzes and documents security risks, breaches, and other cyber security incidents and the damage they cause.
Oversees the Incident Response Plan and makes changes as necessary.
Works on requests from corporate headquarters as it relates to security measures and controls.
Mitigates threats by gathering information and developing plans, and monitors networks for security breaches.
Works with Crowdstrike Falcon Complete and associated SIEM for security issues and breaches.
Works with other departments on customer security compliance requirements.
