About The Position

Nissan is hiring a Cyber Security Intern for a 12-week summer 2027 program in Smyrna, Tennessee. The intern will work within Cyber Security, focusing on Operational Technology (OT) devices that support Nissan’s manufacturing environment. The position provides hands-on exposure to cybersecurity tools, threat monitoring, vulnerability management, and network security practices in a highly automated manufacturing environment, helping protect critical manufacturing operations.

The intern will support vulnerability management using Tenable.One; assist with endpoint detection, monitoring, and response using SentinelOne; analyze network architecture and security risks with RedSeal and other cybersecurity platforms; support Security Operations Center (SOC) investigations and cybersecurity event analysis; and collaborate with cybersecurity and manufacturing teams to identify, assess, and mitigate OT security risks. The position requires onsite work in Smyrna, TN. Sponsorship is not available.

Requirements

• Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program in Cyber Security or a related field.
• Be entering Junior or Senior year at the start of the upcoming academic term.
• Knowledge of vulnerability analysis and cybersecurity risk assessment methodologies.
• Familiarity with network analysis concepts and cybersecurity monitoring tools.
• Understanding of endpoint detection and response (EDR) technologies.
• Interest in ethical hacking, threat detection, and cybersecurity best practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively and work collaboratively within a team environment.
• GPA of 3.0 or above; an official or unofficial transcript must be provided during the application process for verification.
• Ability to perform work onsite at Smyrna, TN.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and provide proof of employment eligibility at hire.
