About The Position

The Cyber Security Engineer monitors the vulnerability of the enterprise and develops security engineering solutions to improve the security of the Healthfirst infrastructure. The Cyber Security Engineer applies entry-level to intermediate knowledge of the Cyber Security discipline to support IT Infrastructure or Application development. This position requires three days per week in office (Tues/Wed/Thurs) at 100 Church Street, NYC.

Requirements

  • Technical Degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security and/or a High School Diploma/GED from an accredited institution along with equivalent work experience
  • Entry-level experience in at least two of the following areas: security engineering, network penetration, incident response, threat hunting, and governance risk & compliance

Nice To Haves

  • Experience implementing and maturing security processes or solutions. (i.e. EDR, SIEM, GRC, Firewall, CASB, UEBA, DLP, Vulnerability Management, Red Teaming, Threat Hunting, or A&A, etc.)
  • Intermediate Cyber Security expertise
  • Ability to use and interact with AI, including undertaking AI capabilities for supporting Information security and understanding the adversarial use to protect the enterprise.
  • Ability to understand and integrate AI as part of daily function and workload automation.
  • Understanding Data, including data classification, masking, Data Leakage, OCR, etc.
  • Work experience communicating with leadership, across teams, and with key stakeholders

Responsibilities

  • Supports work related to security engineering and implementation of Healthfirst infrastructure
  • Assist in ensuring IT security solutions and/or initiatives meet financial targets
  • Support to the Sr. Cyber Security Engineer on programs such as Vulnerability Management, Incident Response, EDR, GRC, Incident Response, PAM, IAM, SOAR, SEIM, Insider Threat, etc.
  • Work closely with key stakeholders, team members, and senior leadership in accomplishing cyber security responsibilities and initiatives and applies
  • Works well within a team and is able to influence others in a positive way
  • Applies business context and maps current work to specific business outcomes
