About The Position

We are looking for a Cyber Security Engineer to join our Information Security Team in Kansas City. The work involves SIEM/SOC operations, endpoint protection, network security, and privileged access management. We are looking for hands-on experience with modern security platforms and an interest in improving security in a global environment. We would love to speak with you if you have hands-on experience with modern security platforms in these areas and a passion for strengthening security on a scale in a global environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, related degree or relevant, equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience designing, implementing, and supporting cybersecurity solutions in enterprise and cloud environments.
  • Hands-on experience with modern security platforms.
  • Passion for strengthening security on a scale in a global environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, or a related field.
  • Experience using CrowdStrike Falcon, Zscaler and other similar tools
  • Relevant cybersecurity certifications (e.g., OSCP, CEH, GIAC).
  • Familiarity with modern security architectures (zero trust, segmentation, identity-centric models, secure remote access).
  • Knowledge of cloud security, preferably with hands-on AWS experience; and experience with automation or scripting for security (Python, PowerShell, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and support enterprise and cloud security solutions aligned with corporate standards.
  • Collaborate with SOC and monitoring teams to strengthen visibility, detection, and security control effectiveness.
  • Support and improve the vulnerability management program, including remediation guidance and risk-reduction metrics.
  • Contribute to integrate and automate security data and processes across enterprise platforms.
  • Assist in evaluating new technologies and ensuring their secure adoption.
  • Define requirements based on the security strategy and implement capabilities to meet established standards and reduce risk.
  • Run proof-of-value tests and operationalize cybersecurity tools and processes to improve Clarivate’s security posture.
  • Stay aware of emerging threats and design capabilities to mitigate them.
  • Respond to security incidents and SOC escalations.
