About The Position

The Cyber Security Engineer II (Senior) serves as NetSEA's primary technical liaison between the ECCOS CSSP team and Mission Delta 6 system owners. This role owns cybersecurity alignment activities across Mission Delta 6's space mission enterprise – coordinating Service Level Agreements, driving the CSSP Working Group, and ensuring system owners have a clear, proactive path to compliance rather than a reactive one. This is a senior, client-facing technical role requiring both deep cybersecurity engineering expertise and the judgment to operate as a trusted advisor to Government stakeholders.

  • 10+ years of relevant cybersecurity and/or network engineering experience, including experience in DoD or federal environments
  • Active DoD 8140-aligned certification appropriate to a CSSP Analyst/Infrastructure Support work role (e.g., CISSP, GCIH, CASP+, or equivalent)
  • Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility, or an active Secret clearance with a submitted SSBI/Tier 5 investigation and the ability to reach TS/SCI eligibility within approximately 90 days
  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Demonstrated experience with RMF/ATO processes, eMASS, and DoD cybersecurity compliance frameworks

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience supporting a CSSP (Cybersecurity Service Provider) mission specifically, rather than general IA/cybersecurity support
  • Prior experience supporting U.S. Space Force, Space Delta, or other space mission enterprise programs
  • Experience with Zero Trust Architecture implementation or assessment
  • Prior experience in a client-facing technical lead or working-group chair role
  • Familiarity with SATCOM or space-adjacent network segment security

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary System Owner interface for cybersecurity alignment activities across Mission Delta 6 space systems at Schriever SFB, Peterson SFB, and the Colorado Springs local area
  • Coordinate Service Level Agreements (SLAs) between the CSSP team and system owners, tracking status and escalating at-risk items before they become findings
  • Participate in and help drive the CSSP Working Group, surfacing and resolving cybersecurity alignment issues at the working level
  • Develop and maintain the Cybersecurity Alignment Plan and supporting compliance documentation
  • Apply Zero Trust Architecture principles to cybersecurity alignment across enterprise and space-adjacent network segments (User, Ground, and Space Segments)
  • Support eMASS/RMF lifecycle documentation, including SSPs, SARs, and POA&M control-to-evidence mapping
  • Provide technical mentorship and day-to-day direction to Analyst-level CSSP team members
