About The Position

The Starburst Engineering Department, located in Largo, FL, is seeking a Cyber Security Administrator to contribute to the development and deployment of Cyber Security solutions on the Starburst program. Requirements

Must be able to obtain a TS/SCI clearance within 1 year
Must be able to secure and maintain a DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (e.g. Sec+) within 3 months of hire.
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and less than 2 years of prior relevant experience
Experience may be obtained through on the job experience, research, coursework, or projects.
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.

Nice To Haves

Understanding of basic network engineering fundamentals, including: OSI layers, IP addressing, sub-netting, TCP/IP stack, VLANs, DHCP, etc.
Willingness to learn new technologies and applications as required.
Demonstrated experience implementing computer security.
Ability to adapt both an offensive and defensive mindset to support securing information systems.
Ability to quickly switch tasks based on changing priorities.

Responsibilities

Administration and Monitoring of COTS Enterprise products to include: Windows Server and Workstation operating systems, Linux, Broadcom vSphere environment, Enterprise DNS, Application delivery and load balancing appliances
Daily operational health checks, maintenance and compliance verification
Some CONUS travel may be required
