About The Position

We are seeking a litigation associate with 12+ years of litigation experience to join our busy, cutting-edge Cyber, Privacy, and Data Innovation team. Responsibilities include working on our robust pipeline of sophisticated, innovative, and industry-leading litigation, including class actions, across a range of clients in Orrick’s industry verticals of technology, finance, life sciences, and energy.

Requirements

12+ years of litigation experience.
Strong foundation of complex civil litigation experience.
Passionate, highly motivated, dynamic individual.
Exceptional interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently.
Strong academic credentials.
Excellent legal research abilities.
Superb writing and oral communication skills.
Membership to the State Bar of the desired office.

Responsibilities

Work on a robust pipeline of sophisticated, innovative, and industry-leading litigation, including class actions, across a range of clients in Orrick’s industry verticals of technology, finance, life sciences, and energy.
Support a busy team with all aspects of complex disputes and litigation, including working directly with clients.
Manage all aspects of discovery (with the support of Orrick’s industry-leading eDiscovery, Analytics, and Litigation Support team).
Actively participate in deposition and hearing preparation.
Draft motions.
Prepare mediation statements.
Handle other common civil litigation tasks.
