About The Position

CACI is seeking a Journeyman Cyber Engineer to join their team at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland. This role involves leading and contributing to teams that address complex, multi-disciplinary problems in cybersecurity, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, and computer science. The position offers opportunities to mentor junior engineers, lead projects, and explore new topics while utilizing existing skills. The Cyber Engineer will work hands-on with state-of-the-art electronics, designing, developing, and implementing innovative techniques to support new technologies, and mentoring junior engineers.

Requirements

  • Active Top-Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain SCI.
  • BS in a related discipline and 5-7 years of directly related experience.
  • Experience leading projects and mentoring junior engineers.
  • Strong knowledge of cryptography and cryptographic systems.
  • Proficiency in a coding/programming languages such as Python, Java, or C.
  • Experience performing a variety of tasks using command line interfaces such as the Linux terminal.
  • In-depth understanding of networking topics such as IP addressing and subnetting as well as common protocols (HTTP, TCP, UDP, FTP, etc.) and technologies (ethernet, Wi-Fi, etc.).
  • Familiarity with the programmatic use of APIs.
  • Experience working with containers at a technical level.
  • Experience leveraging interfaces and protocols such as I2C, JTAG, UART, SPI, USB, and Ethernet.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with penetration testing or threat hunting.
  • Experience with digital forensics tools such as (FTK, Autopsy, EnCase).
  • Experience with binary analysis tools and techniques such as Ghidra.
  • Familiarity with Android OS and mobile device debugging techniques.
  • Experience with benchtop equipment such as oscilloscopes, signal/power analyzers, and multimeters.
  • Experience with SDRs (HackRF, Ettus, etc.) and GNURadio.
  • Experience soldering electronics and circuits.
  • Experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks or Fusion360.
  • Familiarity with electrical circuits and circuit design.
  • Experience with unmanned systems such as UAS, UGV, and USV.
