About The Position

This role involves following safe work practices, maintaining a clean work area using 5S standards, and carrying out instructions from the Foreman. The Production Worker II will be trained in two production processes or the production of two products, ensuring timely completion of jobs for on-time shipment. Responsibilities include lifting materials, reading and executing work instructions, examining products for quality, performing equipment inspections, operating basic machine tools, and working with teams for process improvement. Training and sign-off on mobile equipment or cranes may be required.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
At least 1+ years of experience in a production environment
Meet all Production Worker I Requirements and Skills
Ability to read and understand blueprints and written instructions.
Ability to work in a high paced environment while maintaining safety standards and following all safe work practices.
Ability to use various hand and power tools associated with assigned work area within plant.
A focus on prioritization, time efficiency, problem solving and teamwork.
Ability to exert up to 80 pounds of force occasionally, up to 40 pounds of force frequently, and up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Responsibilities

Follow all safe work practices and procedures.
Utilize 5S standards to maintain a clean and safe work area.
Carry out verbal and written instructions from Foreman.
Be trained in two production processes or production of two products.
Complete jobs in a timely fashion to ensure on time shipment.
Lift raw materials, finished products, and packed items, manually or using hoists.
Read and interpret work instructions, then execute work per instructions.
Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards.
Perform regular pre-operation equipment inspections and report any issues identified.
Set up, adjust, and operate all basic machine tools.
Be trained and signed off on mobile equipment or cranes required to complete work assignments.
Work with quality and production teams to identify areas for process improvement.
