Cx / QA/QC Support Specialist (Electrical)

Vertex Innovations•Dallas, TX
•$130,000 - $160,000•Onsite

About The Position

The Electrical Cx / QA/QC Support Specialist ensures electrical systems in data center projects meet quality, safety, and operational requirements. The role provides proactive oversight and responsive problem-solving to confirm power distribution, grounding, and protection systems are properly designed, installed, tested, and commissioned in accordance with owner expectations, safety standards, and industry best practices. The specialist coordinates closely with the site Energy Marshal to verify pre-energization checks and documentation are complete before startup, while working with contractors, engineers, and customer teams to promote a cooperative, improvement-oriented culture. The position supports commissioning activities from early installation through system turnover. This includes reviewing factory acceptance test results, inspecting equipment during L1–L3 phases, verifying contractor testing and documentation, validating system integrations, tracking corrective actions, and supporting handoffs from L3 to L4. The specialist also prepares QA/QC and commissioning records, reports progress and risks, verifies closeout materials, and assists with operations training coordination. All work is performed on site at active data center construction projects. Travel may be up to 100%, or relocation at the employee’s expense to a project site for the duration of assignments. The position requires a minimum of 50 hours per week inclusive of travel, may require extended hours during critical project phases, and requires the ability to support night-shift and weekend testing events. Work takes place in construction and industrial environments, including exposure to extreme weather, noise, dust, vibration, energized electrical systems, and rotating machinery, as well as physically demanding site inspections and access tasks.
