About The Position

Seeking a CWL Test & Evaluation Engineer to support the testing, integration, verification, and fielding of advanced submarine combat and weapon launch systems in lab and shipboard environments. This role is ideal for candidates with experience in AN/BLQ-10, AN/BYG-1, AN/BQQ-10, or Submarine Weapon Launchers who can work effectively across engineering teams and government stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or Technology degree in Engineering or a related technical field; or equivalent experience in lieu of degree (4 years of job-related experience)
  • 2+ years of job-related experience, or a Master’s degree
  • Hands-on experience with at least one of the following: AN/BLQ-10 AN/BYG-1 AN/BQQ-10 Submarine Weapon Launchers
  • Experience with software testing, test analysis, and test procedure development
  • Experience using electrical test equipment, including oscilloscopes and multimeters
  • Working knowledge of network configuration, network operations, and network commands
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Ability to support system installation, test execution, and field activity in lab and operational settings
  • Intermittent travel required, including travel to partner sites, government labs, submarine home ports, and shipboard installations in domestic and international locations
  • Department of Defense Secret Clearance Required

Nice To Haves

  • Navy or Submarine experience
  • Experience working in integrated product teams with multiple contractors and DoD laboratory organizations
  • Familiarity with object-oriented programming, system processes, or scripting languages

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with CWL and MTWS engineers to support system testing, integration, and troubleshooting
  • Define, document, execute, analyze, and interpret test procedures, test cases, and test results
  • Identify functional issues, document defects, and work with engineering teams to resolve software, firmware, and hardware problems
  • Conduct verification and validation (V&V) for corrective changes and system updates
  • Perform installation, rip-out, test, and validation of tactical systems
  • Assist with lab configuration using applicable drawings, port maps, and system documentation
  • Support informal, formal, and customer-directed test events
  • Provide regular status updates to leadership while operating with a high degree of independence
  • Support the Logistics team with development of installation and operation procedures
