About The Position

This is a Non-Employee Contingent Worker Role providing services for TIAA’s family of companies and will be employed by TIAA's preferred 3rd Party Supplier. As a Non-Employee CW, perform a variety of moderately complex business planning, support, and project-related duties. Demonstrates an exceptional standard of quality and holds themselves accountable to achieving excellent results. This role will sit onsite, likely in a hybrid capacity, at the location(s) listed in this posting. The anticipated term of this engagement will be 11 months. This term could be extended based on company business needs. The Data Analyst identifies current market sector trends and customer patterns through statistical modeling and analytics. This job assists in examining and identifying data trends that help answer business questions and improve decision-making. Working under moderate supervision, this job collects data sources, analyzes data and extracts key information. This job helps monitor and evaluate data quality to meet the organization's information system needs and requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Assists with mathematical, statistical, and economic methods that determine market conditions, project consumer needs and inform business initiatives.
  • Identifies trends found from modelling and informs other lines of business such as product development and marketing decisions.
  • Helps develop data mining models, statistical reporting and data analysis methodologies to identify key customer segments and to simulate impact of potential future business decisions.
  • Works to develop detailed reports and conclusions for business, finance and investment management based on data summaries.
  • Recognizes areas of opportunity and risk through data analysis and modelling and reports findings.
  • Provides information for additional research and analysis in line with statistical methodology.
  • Assists other areas of the business to model the potential outcomes of implementing various business strategies.
  • Ensures that data is accurate and available to support the development, implementation, and execution of business analytics initiatives and projects.
  • Owns the assessment, improvement, and development of Tableau Dashboards and Data Engineering, ensuring adequate data quality is maintained so that data can effectively support business processes and Visualizations.
  • Lead Data Visualization projects in creation activities to ensure data is defined, is engineered for ongoing support, and is fit for use case purposes.
  • Create Data products by collecting requirements, programming using SQL, and testing results of large datasets to ensure data outputs meet defined specifications.
  • Update and improve process for data definitions and lineage while improving speed of Data Visualization creation.
  • Partner with stakeholders, People Data Office, IT, and SMEs to capture data definitions and define risk within data products.
  • Find a solution when there is no defined path forward on a task or project.
  • Ensure data meets data policy and data standards for quality are included in product/system development process.
