About The Position

Nemours Children’s Health in Wilmington, Delaware is seeking an experienced CVOR Registered Nurse or Surgical Technologist to join their Cardiac Operating Room team. The Nemours Cardiac Center provides comprehensive care for infants, children, adolescents and young adults with complex cardiac, thoracic and vascular conditions. Associates work alongside a dedicated team focused on delivering safe, high-quality, patient- and family-centered care.

Requirements

Minimum of 1 year of experience required.
ASN required, with BSN within 3 years of hire (CVOR RN).
Active Delaware RN license (CVOR RN).
Pennsylvania RN license within 6 months of hire (CVOR RN).
New Jersey RN license within 1 year of hire (CVOR RN).
American Heart Association BLS required upon hire.
PALS within 6 months (CVOR RN).
ACLS within 1 year (CVOR RN).
High School Diploma required (Surgical Technologist).
Completion of a Surgical Technology program required (Surgical Technologist).

Nice To Haves

Pediatric cardiac OR experience preferred (CVOR RN).
CNOR and CPN preferred (CVOR RN).
Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Tech in Surgery – Certified (NCCT) preferred (Surgical Technologist).

Responsibilities

Providing individualized nursing care before, during and immediately following surgical procedures (CVOR RN).
Preparing sterile instruments, supplies and equipment, maintaining the sterile field, and anticipating the needs of the surgical team throughout each procedure (Surgical Technologist).
