About The Position

Nemours Children’s Health in Wilmington, Delaware is seeking experienced CVOR Registered Nurses and Surgical Technologists to join their Cardiac Operating Room team. The Nemours Cardiac Center provides comprehensive care for infants, children, adolescents and young adults with complex cardiac, thoracic and vascular conditions. The role involves delivering safe, high-quality, patient- and family-centered care in a specialized pediatric cardiac environment.

Requirements

Minimum of 1 year of experience required (CVOR RN and Surgical Technologist).
ASN required (CVOR RN).
Active Delaware RN license (CVOR RN).
High School Diploma required (Surgical Technologist).
Completion of a Surgical Technology program required (Surgical Technologist).
American Heart Association BLS required upon hire (CVOR RN).
American Heart Association BLS required (Surgical Technologist).

Nice To Haves

BSN within 3 years of hire (CVOR RN).
Pennsylvania RN license within 6 months of hire (CVOR RN).
New Jersey RN license within 1 year of hire (CVOR RN).
PALS within 6 months (CVOR RN).
ACLS within 1 year (CVOR RN).
CNOR and CPN preferred (CVOR RN).
Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Tech in Surgery – Certified (NCCT) preferred (Surgical Technologist).

Responsibilities

Provide individualized nursing care before, during and immediately following surgical procedures (CVOR RN).
Prepare sterile instruments, supplies and equipment (Surgical Technologist).
Maintain the sterile field (Surgical Technologist).
Anticipate the needs of the surgical team throughout each procedure (Surgical Technologist).
