About The Position

The CV Radiology Invasive Specialist performs all aspects of transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiography on all patient populations, as appropriate. The position supports cardiac catheterization and other diagnostic and interventional procedures in the Cardiac Cath Lab, provides post-procedure care, operates and maintains radiologic equipment, and maintains supply inventory.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of radiology.
• Current ARRT credential in Radiology.
• American Heart Association Healthcare Provider CPR (BLS) certification.
• One year of interventional radiology or cath lab experience.
• Recent hospital experience as a radiology technologist.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with cardiac catheterization, pacemaker/IABP insertion, and diagnostic and interventional peripheral vascular procedures in the Cardiac Cath Lab.
• Perform post-procedure care and groin management, including arterial and venous sheath removal.
• Operate, troubleshoot, maintain, and perform quality control on radiologic equipment.
• Maintain supply inventory.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Perform transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiography on all patient populations, as appropriate.
