This role involves providing specialized patient care in the cardiac catherization/electrophysiology lab surgical setting. The CV/EP-critical care staff nurse utilizes the nursing process and scientific principles to deliver safe, high-quality, comprehensive, and age-appropriate nursing care for patients undergoing cardiac surgical procedures. This includes managing emergent and complex clinical situations, preparing and monitoring patients during procedures, maintaining a safe environment, optimizing outcomes, and advocating for patient and family needs.
