About The Position

This role involves cutting and marking materials according to patterns and customer demand. The position requires the ability to read cutting patterns, knowledge of material spreading, and the setup of cutting tables. Responsibilities include sorting and bundling cut materials to ensure sewing operators have all necessary components, communicating production issues, and maintaining a clean work area.

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Ability to read and understand cutting patterns.
• Knowledge of spreading material.
• Ability to set up table.
• Sorting and Bundling cut material to ensure sewing operators receive all components necessary to meet customer demand.
• Communication skills concerning production issues and how to resolve.
• Ability to cut materials with an electric knife through a pattern.
• Maintain 5S (cleaning & sorting) guidelines within your work area.
• Be a team player.
