Epic Piping has an exciting opportunity available for a Cutting Foreman to be an integral part of our Fabrication team. Requirements

  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): preferred
  • 2-4 years of related work experience
  • Computer Skills: Internet, Spreadsheet, Word processing software
  • Certification/Licenses: None specifically required

Responsibilities

  • Comply and ensure compliance of safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and regulations.
  • Schedule the project in logical steps and budget time required to meet deadlines.
  • Confer with supervisory personnel to discuss and resolve matters such as work procedures.
  • Inspect and review projects to monitor compliance with safety codes and other regulations.
  • Direct and supervise workers.
  • Develop and implement quality control programs.
  • Investigate damage, accidents, or delays, to ensure that proper procedures are being carried out.
  • Evaluate employee performance and prepare performance appraisals.
  • Perform the same work duties as those supervised or perform more difficult or skilled tasks or assist in their performance.
  • Prepare and maintain work records and reports of information, such as employee time and wages and inspection results.
  • Counsel employees in work-related activities, personal growth, and career development.
  • Inspect equipment for wear and for conformance to specifications
  • Resolve personnel problems, complaints, and formal grievances when possible, or refer them to higher-level supervisors for resolution.
  • Recommend or initiate personnel actions, such as promotions, transfers, and disciplinary measures.
  • Assess training needs of staff and arrange for or provide appropriate instruction.
  • Evaluate cutting methods and determine cost-effectiveness of plans.
