Requirements

High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): preferred
2-4 years of related work experience
Computer Skills: Internet, Spreadsheet, Word processing software
Certification/Licenses: None specifically required

Responsibilities

Comply and ensure compliance of safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and regulations.
Schedule the project in logical steps and budget time required to meet deadlines.
Confer with supervisory personnel to discuss and resolve matters such as work procedures.
Inspect and review projects to monitor compliance with safety codes and other regulations.
Direct and supervise workers.
Develop and implement quality control programs.
Investigate damage, accidents, or delays, to ensure that proper procedures are being carried out.
Evaluate employee performance and prepare performance appraisals.
Perform the same work duties as those supervised or perform more difficult or skilled tasks or assist in their performance.
Prepare and maintain work records and reports of information, such as employee time and wages and inspection results.
Counsel employees in work-related activities, personal growth, and career development.
Inspect equipment for wear and for conformance to specifications
Resolve personnel problems, complaints, and formal grievances when possible, or refer them to higher-level supervisors for resolution.
Recommend or initiate personnel actions, such as promotions, transfers, and disciplinary measures.
Assess training needs of staff and arrange for or provide appropriate instruction.
Evaluate cutting methods and determine cost-effectiveness of plans.
