About The Position

The Cutting Operator - Bead position is a specialized role focused on the precise preparation and finishing of materials, primarily textiles or similar substrates, to meet production and quality standards. The major end result of this job is to ensure that materials are accurately slit, cut, or laced according to detailed specifications, enabling seamless integration into subsequent manufacturing or assembly processes. This role requires meticulous attention to detail to maintain product integrity and minimize waste, directly impacting overall operational efficiency. The individual in this position will collaborate closely with production teams to align material preparation with production schedules and quality requirements. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience operating slitting, cutting, or lacing equipment in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to perform routine machine maintenance.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions and specifications.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and handle physical tasks associated with material processing.
• Operating slitting and cutting machinery are essential for daily tasks, ensuring materials are processed accurately and efficiently.
• Attention to detail is critical for inspecting materials and maintaining quality standards, preventing defects that could affect downstream production.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain slitting, cutting, and lacing machinery to process materials according to specified dimensions and tolerances.

• Adjust machine settings and tooling to accommodate different material types and thicknesses, ensuring optimal performance.
• Collaborate with production planners and quality control teams to meet daily production targets and maintain compliance with safety standards.
• Document production activities, machine maintenance, and any deviations from standard operating procedures for continuous improvement.
