Requirements

Food Handler's permit and TABC certification
Attend shifts according to schedule and in proper uniform
Stand for 8 hours
Multitask
Reach, bend, squat, stoop, shake, carry, push and lift items throughout the shift
Use a knife safely
Follow instructions and perform duties accurately and efficiently
Have effective hearing for accurate communication

Responsibilities

Cutting, weighing, and preparing meat
Setting up and sanitizing workstations
Following prep lists
Measuring ingredients and seasonings, and preparing cooking ingredients to be used in the cooking process
Ensuring all food items are properly stored and easily accessible
Assisting in preparing food and attending to any culinary tasks that arise
Distributing orders to be served, cleaning plates for dishwashing, and preparing takeaway packages for customers
Supervising food and cooling room temperatures
Accepting or rejecting ingredients from suppliers
Maintaining a clean, orderly, and sanitized kitchen
Helping other positions and areas depending on the needs for that day
