About The Position

McCain Foods is accepting applications for an IQF Cutter Operator to support operations at our Burley, Idaho facility. This role is responsible for operating and maintaining specialty IQF cutting equipment to ensure high-quality potato products are produced efficiently and safely for final packaging. The position works a 12-hour day or night shift in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Requirements

Ability to safely operate and maintain manufacturing equipment in a food production environment
Strong understanding of sanitation, safety, and quality standards
Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic maintenance and equipment adjustments
Ability to follow instructions, procedures, and safety guidelines consistently
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
Willingness to work 12-hour shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
Commitment to continuous improvement and workplace safety

Responsibilities

Operate IQF cutting equipment to achieve proper cut uniformity and maximize potato utilization
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area while supporting general and deep-cleaning activities
Follow all hygiene and sanitation procedures to prevent product contamination
Monitor conveyors, shakers, and related production line equipment
Identify when cutter blades need replacement and perform required changes
Disassemble, clean, sanitize, and reassemble equipment per established procedures
Perform preventative maintenance and assist with troubleshooting equipment issues
Clear line jams or plug-ups as needed to maintain production flow
Communicate production, quality, or safety concerns to appropriate team members
Support and participate in continuous improvement initiatives and promote teamwork
