About The Position

This role involves a thorough understanding of the department and its components, including the location of switches, valves, and controls. The technician will perform minor maintenance tasks, troubleshoot machinery, and work with precision instruments. The position requires the ability to follow instructions and work independently to repair and maintain all types of machinery in the department.

Requirements

• Basic knowledge and understanding of tool usage.
• Ability to perform minor maintenance such as bearing replacement, chain setting, oil/lube maintenance, and minor troubleshooting.
• Ability to work overhead on a ladder or scaffolding in high areas.
• Ability to stoop or bend to work below knee level.
• Ability to take daily instructions from supervisor and carry out assignments and duties with little or no supervision.
• Ability to use precision instruments such as torque wrenches, dial indicators, calipers, and micrometers.
• Ability to dismantle, identify, repair, and put back into service all types of machinery in the department in a timely manner.
