About The Position
This is a remote position with an initial 6-week on-site training period, followed by a transition to an evening remote role. Candidates must reside within commuting distance to the Philadelphia, PA UPS facility. This role offers career growth in international trade and customs compliance within a global logistics leader. As a Customs Brokerage Specialist II, you will be responsible for reviewing import documentation, resolving discrepancies, classifying goods using the Harmonized Tariff Schedule, and ensuring compliance with federal regulatory requirements. You will also communicate with customers, carriers, and international partners to facilitate efficient and compliant freight movement.
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or international equivalent
- Basic understanding of U.S. customs operations, regulations, and government agencies
- Strong computer skills and comfort with data entry
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve documentation issues
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or National of the U.S., an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. for this employer.

Responsibilities
- Prepare and process customs entries accurately and on time
- Review and audit commercial documents; identify and resolve discrepancies
- Apply correct HTS (Harmonized Tariff Schedule) codes for duty assessment
- Communicate documentation needs with customers and foreign origins
- Coordinate freight forwarding and delivery with domestic and international carriers
- Submit customs entries via GBS-CM in a timely manner
- Scan and upload documentation into internal imaging systems
- Prepare reports, presentations, and database-driven analyses
- Maintain strong relationships with clients through proactive, clear communication
- Support weekend or holiday work on a rotational basis, as needed
