Customized Community Support Coaches assist individuals with developmental and/or intellectual disabilities in accessing the community. The day is spent supporting an individual in all the areas of daily living as needed or directed by their plans. You have the opportunity to enrich and support another individual's life simply by being available and supportive. You will use your own vehicle to take individuals to a variety of activities throughout the week and work alongside them, teaching important life skills. We have the opportunity for an early riser who would like to start their day by 7:00 am. This individual needs support from 7 am to 9 am. At that hour, they enjoy going to breakfast, wandering the aisles at Lowe's. They enjoy the song "Single Ladies", music, coloring, dancing, playing Uno, bowling, the bio park, and McDonald's. They use an iPad to help them communicate. Super friendly, caring, and a lot of fun. The rest of the day (M-Th), another individual joins the two of you. These two are pretty good buds and get along well. Both enjoy eating out, going to the movies, bowling, hanging out at different community centers, meeting up with friends, and exploring their surroundings. This opportunity is from 7 am - 3 pm Monday - Thursday, and just one individual on Fridays from 9 am - 3 pm, for a total of 38 hours each week.
