About The Position

Auger is the autonomous operating system for supply chains — the layer that finally allows disparate systems like ERP, WMS, and TMS to work together instead of against each other. Most supply chain software surfaces problems and waits for a human to act. Auger solves them. Our AI detects disruptions, evaluates trade-offs, and executes decisions automatically — moving from signal to action in seconds, not weeks. We eliminate the Coordination Tax: the billions in capital and time lost when disconnected systems force the best people in the business to become the Human API between planning and execution. At Auger, we design autonomy into our systems. We expect the same from our people. That means: Clear ownership, not decision by consensus, First principles over inherited patterns, Shipping systems, not slide decks, Fast feedback from reality, not opinions. If you want to build, ship, and iterate against reality, Auger is for you. Auger was founded by Dave Clark and is backed by $150M from Oak HC/FT and Eclipse Capital. Our team works from Bellevue, WA and Dallas, TX. About the Role: Customer Transformation is the team responsible for delivering value from Auger’s autonomous supply chain operating system, and this is the role where you learn to do that from the ground up. You join a deployment pod, take a workstream, and own it end to end: the plan, the meetings, the follow-through, and the number it has to move. The work is hard, the pace is fast, and the travel is heavy. You are on site with customers, in their operations, not observing from a desk. You will run a schedule that cross-functional teams depend on, chase down the answer nobody wants to give you, and write the requirement precisely enough that an engineer can build from it without asking you a second question. You will do this on live enterprise accounts where the customer has already paid for an outcome. These roles are where Auger's future leaders come from. You learn this business at the edge, inside our customers' operations, which is the only place it can actually be learned. If you are good, you will run your own account inside two years and lead multi-workstream enterprise accounts after that. Several of the people who will run this company learned it exactly this way. The ceiling here is set by what you can carry, not by a calendar.

Requirements

  • Two to five years in an environment that demanded more than it gave (e.g., service academy, military assignment, top-tier consulting or banking analyst program, startup, or operating role with real numbers to carry).
  • Evidence of grit under load; ability to run a project that was behind, unclear, and yours, and bring it to completion.
  • Raw analytical horsepower: ability to take an unfamiliar operational problem, break it down, quantify it, and defend your logic.
  • Speed: ability to learn a new domain in weeks, not quarters, and prioritize shipping a good answer quickly.
  • Written precision: ability to write short, specific, and complete updates without requiring clarifying questions.
  • Hunger: desire for the next level and willingness to earn it through detail, on real accounts, in front of customers.
  • Comfort with directness and immediate, specific feedback in both directions.

Nice To Haves

  • Supply chain experience is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Own the schedule for your workstream and defend it, including milestones, dependencies, who owes what by when, and what happens when someone misses.
  • Track every open question, drive each to a decision with a named owner, and close it. Escalate unresolved issues after a week.
  • Translate customer needs into precise requirements for Supply Chain Scientists, Customer Engineering Leads, and Customer Product Leads.
  • Own the inputs that feed the account value model from your workstream and track input measures (e.g., forecast accuracy, service level, exception volume, adoption rate).
  • Write clear and concise updates for cross-functional teams and customer executives, detailing what shipped, what changed, what is at risk, and what happens next.
  • Own the written record for your workstream: decisions, owners, dates, risks.
