About The Position

Responsible for training regional accounts on the features, benefits, and technology behind Canon's hardware and software production. This role also involves maintaining demo room functionality and supporting Latin America due to the need for Spanish language proficiency. The impact of this role includes responsibility for all training programs and outcomes, determining the best instructional methods, testing trainees, developing and evaluating training activities, and conducting training needs assessments. The trainer will analyze customer training needs to develop new programs and will work independently with guidance only in new or unusual situations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience required.
  • 3 to 5 years of related experience.
  • Experience in printing pre-sales/post-sales support in office and production environments.
  • Strong working knowledge of computer hardware and software including, but not limited to, Microsoft and Apple operating systems and print driver setup.
  • Thorough working knowledge of the Canon USA software portfolio including eCopy, Therefore and uniFLOW.
  • Strong grasp of networking essentials and concepts.
  • Extensive travel may be required, up to 60% with overnight stays.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record necessary.
  • Certain minimum auto insurance coverages are required.
  • Bilingual, fluent in Spanish.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • All applicants must reside in the United States at the time of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all training programs and training outcomes.
  • Determines the best instructional methods for each training session, and tests trainees (customers) to measure learning progress.
  • Develops, directs, plans and evaluates training activities to meet the organization's position requirements, including participating as a subject matter expert and working/ coordinating with the training team on curriculum development and conduct training needs assessments.
  • Analyzes customers training needs to determine requirements for new program development.
  • Maintaining demo room functionality.
