About The Position

As an Customer Service Representative 2 within the Dawson County Health Department within District Two, Georgia Department of Public Health, you will join a dedicated group of public health professionals that help support the overall mission and vision of protecting lives of Georgian residents in a variety of ways. District 2 Public Health serves 13 counties in northeast Georgia, including Banks, Dawson, Forsyth, Franklin, Habersham, Hall, Hart, Lumpkin, Rabun, Stephens, Towns, Union, and White counties. One of the fastest growing regions in the state, District 2 includes rural and urban communities with diverse public health challenges.

Requirements

  • High school diploma GED AND Six months of full-time work experience providing customer support or technical assistance.
  • High school diploma or GED AND One year of full-time work experience providing customer support or technical assistance.

Responsibilities

  • Under direct supervision, answers customer problems and inquiry calls.
  • Records problem history information.
  • Performs first level problem determination and resolution.
  • Under general supervision, answers customer problems and inquiry calls.
  • Records problem history information.
  • Performs first level problem determination and resolution.
  • Serves as resource and provides guidance and experience to other staff.
  • Answer phones for the Dawson County Health Department.
  • Schedule appointments for patients & confirm appointments.
  • Maintain patient accounts & records.
  • Insurance verification & updating insurance information.
  • Responds to community/health department email & any questions.
