About The Position

This role is responsible for identifying and calling on existing and potential customers within an assigned territory, fostering positive customer relationships, and achieving profitable growth by selling the value and differentiation of Agri-Service's products and services. The representative will advise customers on maintenance and repair practices to lower operating costs, develop and maintain technical and product knowledge on AGCO and Agri-Service equipment, and identify customer needs to develop effective solutions. Collaboration with other departments is key to enhancing customer relationships. A critical aspect of the role involves assisting customers within 24 hours of equipment delivery, focusing on maintenance and care, and providing timely, accurate quotes for parts and service needs. The position also emphasizes integrity, quality, and responsiveness, working closely with business partners, store teams, and corporate support on warranty and product-related issues. Safety advocacy and adherence to all applicable safety policies, procedures, and standards are paramount, as is working within and promoting the corporate vision, purpose, values, and goals of the organization. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Proof of high school diploma or general education Degree(GED) required.
  • Proof of driver’s license and acceptable driving record required.
  • Must be able to communicate in English (speak, read, comprehend, write).
  • Must be able to sit for long periods of time along with walking, standing, climbing stairs, reaching pushing, pulling, leaning, and twisting.
  • Must be able to meet all safety requirements for applicable safety policies.

Nice To Haves

  • Sales experience preferred but not required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ sales and/or parts and service experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of parts and service offerings and capabilities.
  • Ability to develop and maintain product knowledge of AGCO and Agri-Service products and services.
  • Ability to assess customer needs and elevate customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to quickly identify problems, approach work from a solutions-based focus, and develop creative solutions.
  • Knowledge or ability to learn Microsoft, CDK and OneAGCO.
  • Proven skills in written and verbal communications, planning, organizing, and interpersonal relationship building.
  • Ability to set and manage priorities.
  • Drive and maintain company vehicles.
  • Must be a self starter and able to work without supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Report all incidents immediately.
  • Prepare and participate in incident investigations as needed.
  • Attend all safety trainings both in person and virtual.
  • Ensure work site inspections and vehicle inspections are completed as required.
  • Recognize and promote employees demonstrating safe behaviors.
  • Discuss safety and the importance of it at each team meeting/gathering.
  • Demonstrate commitment to safety with both words and actions.
  • Promote the Safety Culture of Agri-Service.
  • Advocate and exemplify safety and safe working habits using proper safety equipment (PPE).
  • Follow company safety policies and procedures on the jobsite, promote safe behavior with customers.
  • Maintain a clean office environment and company vehicle.
  • Perform weekly inspections on company vehicle.
  • Use correct tooling, perform tool inspections regularly, follow tool instructions and clean as needed.
  • Assist in Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) of location and equipment, look to eliminate or reduce potential hazards.
  • Identify potential safety concerns on all makes and types of equipment through walk around inspections and make corrections as needed.
  • Communicate with Safety Liaison to identify and address safety concerns.
  • Identify and call on all existing and potential customers of Agri-Service in their assigned territory.
  • Create and maintain a positive relationship with each customer.
  • Achieve profitable growth by selling the value and differentiation of our products and services.
  • Advise customers on maintenance and repair practices to lower overall owning and operating costs.
  • Develop and maintain technical knowledge and skills necessary to promote parts and service offerings.
  • Develop and maintain product knowledge on AGCO equipment and all equipment offered by Agri-Service.
  • Identify customers’ needs or concerns and develop effective solutions.
  • Work together with other departments within Agri-Service to enhance customer relationships.
  • Assist customers within 24 hours of equipment delivery from Agri-Service with an emphasis on maintenance and care of the equipment.
  • Develop timely, accurate quotes for customers parts and service needs.
  • Embrace integrity, quality, and responsiveness to customer needs.
  • Work closely with business partners, store team and corporate support on warranty/product related issues.
  • Advocate for safety at Agri-Service.
  • Adhere to all applicable safety policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Work within and promote corporate vision, purpose, values, and goals of the organization.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
