About The Position

Provide front-line customer service and support to clients of financial institutions. Assist with account inquiries, transactions, and product information while maintaining confidentiality.

Requirements

  • Secondary school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum one year of customer service experience; experience in financial services preferred.
  • Working knowledge of common banking products, account services and transaction processing.
  • Proficiency with office software and the ability to learn proprietary banking systems and applications.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to handle confidential client information professionally.

Nice To Haves

  • Post-secondary certificate or diploma in business, finance, or a related field is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and in person, providing accurate information and assistance.
  • Process account transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and payments according to procedures.
  • Open, update and close customer accounts, ensuring required documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Identify and resolve customer concerns and escalations, escalating complex issues to appropriate teams when necessary.
  • Provide information on financial products and services and refer customers to specialists for advanced needs.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and transactions in banking systems and update client files.
