We are currently seeking a qualified Customer Services Representative Level II (Imports/Exports) to join our Customer Services Team.

Requirements

  • General knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Typically requires 2 - 4 years of related experience.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2-4 years of experience

Responsibilities

  • Customer Service Duties, which include Import/Export Customers (Commercial and Retail)
  • Manage incoming Customer Service requests.
  • Enter orders in JD Edwards system.
  • Assists Customers with the following: Provide information on products, Suggest/recommend products, Quote pricing and lead-times, Communicate any pertinent information via email/phone.
  • Check orders entered by other Customer Service Reps in JD Edwards system for accuracy.
  • Direct unresolved issues to a different department if needed.
  • Communicate with other departments and management to resolve problems and expedite work.
  • Maintain in-depth working knowledge of the company’s brands, systems and processes.
  • Supply pricing quotes and lead times to customers
  • Review and Enter all Received Export Orders (EDI, Email, Sales, etc.) verifying product and pricing.
  • Update, monitor and Log Port Taxes in Excel for Annual Reporting for Audit Purposes.
  • Prepares import/export documents in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
  • Verifies that invoices are accurate in accordance with physical shipment and customer's SLI, volume, value of materials/goods, country of origin and other regulatory requirements
  • Plan and schedule all necessary export pickups through purchase transportation and supplier/consignee location details.
  • Assist the day-to-day operations of all exports to ensure that customer requirements are met and clearly communicated.
  • Assist with ensuring that accounts payable and receivable documents are completed accurately and forwarded within certain time constraints.
  • Track and trace shipments through transit milestones to destination and advise customer service as needed.
  • Responsible for the movement of merchandise and/or material out of the country in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Calculates price conversions, weight, and volume of merchandise exported, to and from foreign destinations.
  • Supply freight quotes (ocean, air or rail) to the customer as requested
  • Once Export order is produced, work with packaging to make sure all product is packed and sent to shipping and scanned into location to make the CRD.
  • Generate Packing List at the time of order placement and send to any/all persons executing order. (Export Coordinator, Shipping, Production and Scheduling)
  • Assist Claims with proper documentation on Orders with Defects to assist in Claims Processing.
