About The Position

The Customer Services Associate will deal with shipment and other service-related issues to provide an enhanced level of customer services and operational support. Requirements

  • Skilled in use of Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word and Outlook)
  • Knowledgeable with computers
  • Thorough understanding of freight forwarding industry
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to influence others
  • Excellent problem solving and prioritization skills essential
  • Flexibility in working hours required.
  • Weekend coverage required for this role in some cases.
  • Fluent communication skills in English
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or National of the U.S., an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. for this employer.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor all shipments on a daily basis to ensure that shipments are collected and delivered within agreed time frames.
  • Work with customers, internal & external, on a daily basis with the aim of developing an excellent working relationship.
  • Work with clients to ensure that collection requirements are met and that they are kept informed at all times during the process to ensure visibility.
  • Book and process booking requests within Marken’s internal database, generating and verifying shipping documentation where applicable.
  • Liaise with all relevant departments within the Global and Domestic Marken network to ensure that all customer requirements are met.
  • Work with all Marken offices and Outside Service Providers to ensure the logistic transfer is handled efficiently thus meeting desired turnaround times.
  • Enter clinical trial sites into Marken’s internal database (where necessary).
  • Answer and deal with general telephone and e-mail requests from external customers and internal offices/agents.
  • Prepare, verify and distribute country-specific project documentation.
  • File and archive where required.
  • Attend customer meetings and teleconferences, when required.
