About The Position

Horizon Farm Credit is seeking a Customer Services Specialist to join their team in the Dover, DE branch. This is a full-time, in-office position with typical hours of Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The role involves providing account information to customers via phone, email, and in-person, processing service requests, handling general account inquiries, and performing various clerical and office duties to support the local branch.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication & interpersonal relations skills.
  • Moderate knowledge of software applications and proven self-starter.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to simultaneously work on multiple projects/assignments.
  • Ability to initiate, organize, and prioritize work and maintain confidentiality.
  • Basic knowledge and ability to promote convenience products and Business Management Solutions.
  • Ability to work in the office during branch hours of operation (typically Monday – Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.)
  • Adaptable and flexible to a changing work environment.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience preferred or training/experience in the banking or finance industry.
  • Generally, 2-5+ years of related work experience is preferred.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Promptly and professionally handle telephone calls and in-person visitors.
  • Assist callers and in-person visitors with routine inquiries and service requests.
  • Promote Business Management Solutions and convenience products to members.
  • Process incoming payments and prepare deposits.
  • Disburse loan funds accurately and timely.
  • Complete noncash forms as needed for internal adjustments and transfers to Finance.
  • Assist with the printing and mailing of loan packages.
  • Ensure loan documents are properly scanned in AgDocs promptly once executed.
  • Support members account servicing efforts.
  • Prepare special reports and correspondence as required.
  • Review reports and assist in system maintenance to ensure accurate reporting.
  • Perform routine administrative tasks, including incoming/outgoing mail and general correspondence.
  • Support team members across the area by assisting with CRM-related tasks as needed.
