About The Position

Public Storage is the self-storage industry leader. Property Managers work independently at multiple locations, spending time both inside and outside. They are responsible for assessing customer storage needs, making suggestions, and selling packing and moving supplies. Daily tasks include storage unit inspections to confirm inventory and availability, auditing cash drawers, making bank deposits, and assisting customers with payments, including reminder and collection calls. Property Managers also perform cleaning and daily maintenance tasks, such as sweeping/mopping interior areas and maintaining exterior grounds and curb appeal.

Requirements

• Experience from customer service centered sales environments including retail, restaurant, fast food or other service-based companies
• Valid driver’s license
• Utilize own vehicle to travel between different work locations and/or while conducting other work-related business
• Ability to transport lift/move items weighing up to 35 pounds
• Ability to walk in/around facilities spending up to 50% of their time in outdoor environments, including climbing stairs and opening large doors

Responsibilities

• Assess customer storage needs and make suggestions, including selling packing and moving supplies
• Perform daily storage unit inspections to confirm inventory and availability to ensure spaces are ready to rent
• Audit cash drawers and make bank deposits
• Help keep customers current with payments and make reminder and collection calls when required
• Perform cleaning and daily maintenance tasks, including sweeping/mopping interior areas and maintaining exterior grounds/curb appeal clean and free of debris
