Customer Service - Self Storage Manager
About The Position
Public Storage is the self-storage industry leader and is currently hiring. This role involves working independently as a Property Manager at multiple locations, with duties split between indoor and outdoor environments. Key responsibilities include assessing customer storage needs, making product suggestions, and selling packing and moving supplies. The manager will also conduct daily storage unit inspections to ensure inventory and availability, manage financial transactions such as auditing cash drawers and making bank deposits, and handle customer accounts by making reminder and collection calls. The position requires physical activity, including lifting, walking, climbing stairs, and performing light maintenance and cleaning tasks to maintain the facility's appearance.
Requirements
- Successful candidates come from a variety of customer service centered sales environments including retail, restaurant, fast food or other service-based companies
- Valid driver’s license
- Utilize own vehicle to travel between different work locations and/or while conducting other work-related business
Responsibilities
- Work independently at multiple locations
- Assess customer storage needs and make suggestions
- Sell packing and moving supplies
- Perform daily storage unit inspections to confirm inventory and availability
- Audit cash drawers and make bank deposits
- Help keep customers current with payments and make reminder and collection calls when required
- Perform cleaning and daily maintenance tasks, including sweeping/mopping interior areas and maintaining exterior grounds/curb appeal clean and free of debris
